The Problem

The original duck setup created odors near the house, attracted flies, and the daily water/cleaning routine was taking too much time. The pond degraded patio enjoyment.

The Build

A deep-litter coop design with integrated water recycling that cuts cleaning time by 60%. Positioning was reworked to move odors downwind of living areas. The pond was retrofitted with a simple biofiltration system. This plan focuses on the lessons learned from version 1.0 — what failed and why — so you don’t make the same mistakes.
